In order to improve the conditions of visitation and dissemination of the natural values of the Berlengas archipelago, the Peniche Municipal Council converted two shelters, located in the Fisherman Quarter, into an Interpretation Centre and Support for Visitors. The center features a large space that will work as an exhibition center, with some flexibility in terms of use and allowing visitation and permanence of several people simultaneously. This space is equipped with audio-visual media, allowing the island's visitors to be informed about the Berlengas archipelago and the LIFE Berlengas project. The center was launched on July 31 2015.
